Dante makes the cut for Kaiyodo's Revoltech series photo

I know what you're saying.... "That sounds great, Colette! So...what's a Kaiyodo's Revoltech, anyway?" Well, it's a series of high quality figures that you can alter and pose to your heart's desire, thanks to an innovative joint system that allows them to move like no other figures on the market. Check out the gallery to see Dante in his Revoltech incarnation in various awesome poses. He stands 6 inches tall and retails for $22.

Some sources don't like the figures too much, saying Dante is out of proportion. He isn't brand spanking new, so he may have passed through the radar of some of you already, but for those of us who don't eat, sleep and breathe toys, he may be new to your universe. Maybe one of these days, the Destructoid network will have a blog where toys can be discussed ad infinitum. I can dream, anyway.

Is it just me or does Dante look like Buddy Jesus as a toy?

I own the Revoltech Optimus & Megatron and they are some of the best I've seen. So I'll be picking this one up as soon as I have some spare cash.

The proportions do seem a little funny, but little issues such as that must give way to the sizable amount of ass Dante is currently kicking.

I have the Patlabor, Original Getter and Shin Getter Revoltechs. These figures absolutely rock. The construction quality is off the charts and they redefine the term "pose."

I think the last time I got any sort of action figure-type toys was when I received the Power Rangers Ninja Zords as a birthday gift (I think I was nine or ten). I played with those for about a month...

But all I can say for this is DO WANT! That looks bad-ass...

That company makes some goodlooking stuff. If I have some spare cash, I may be tempted to pick one up. But this one takes priority.

Wow, they DO make cool figures.

Dante's figurine is definitely cool, but as far as the game character himself I totally missed the "Dante is badass" train. I don't have a problem with the games, but when I think "badass" I don't think of a guy who looks to be twenty; spouts out cheesy one-liners whilst scarfing down pizza like a Ninja Turtle; and has awful hair.

But I kid. =p

Revoltechs are sweet! I have the Prime, Megatron and the three Macross Valks that are out. I wish Kaiyodo would do more game related stuff.

Hooray for toys!!!! :)

They should get with Capcom and SNK to make some figures. Oooh, the fun that can be had with a Vega and Shermie with that much maneuverability.

Only $22? From my experience, these kinds of figures are usually exorbitantly overpriced.
Hitogoroshi's Avatar
Hitogoroshi at 01/14/2008 16:08
BTW for those that have not seen one in person Revoltechs are about 5 inches tall. So $22 is certainly about right for an import toy of that size.
