Currently 'no plans' to bring Resident Evil 5's DLC to PC photo

In recent years, Capcom has made some great progress in terms of becoming invested in PC gaming. The developer's last couple of major releases have seen solid ports, and in many cases, their exclusive goodies make these the versions you'd want to get above all else.

I'm not saying the company is perfect -- simultaneous PC and console releases, please? -- but it's certainly a major step up from the days of Resident Evil 4 on PC. Gross. That's why the recent news of Resident Evil 5 DLC for consoles felt off.

Not once did Capcom reference the PC version of RE5 in its announcement. Speaking to G4, a Capcom rep briefly stated there are "no plans for PC at this point," in reference to the Gold Edition content.

Perhaps they're waiting to see how the add-ons perform on consoles first, or they just don't have the resources to target all platforms at once. Or could it be a factor of sales not meeting expectations? I'm sure we'll know the reason before too long.

I don't think anybody cared about the PC version of that. SF IV on the other hand, I think has done pretty OK. Certainly a lot of good people to play against on it... so confirm SSFIV for PC plx (it looks so much prettier on my PC).

yeah RE4 was also awkward as hell on the PC. I highly recommend playing these with a usb controller for your pc and not a mouse and keyboard.

Looks like the Merchant from RE4 got pissed off because he didn't respond to "WHAT ARE YOU BUYING?!"

RE4 PC has horrible controls because it has zero mouse support. RE5 PC, on the other hand, has mouse support and is thus better. Capcom's PC port have only gotten better after Lost Planet, really. DMC4 and SF4 plays great.

Why are people knocking the PC port of this? It was stunning... much improved graphics, perfect KB&M support or gamepad support, there are tweaks out for it to remove or add effects.

It is by FAR the best version of the game.

because people tend yo be not so bright at times
PC versions of DMC4, SFIV and RE5 are the best versions of the games so far. RE5 allows you to play it the exact way 360/ps3 does, the way a PC game does, and the way RE4 Wii did. Now tell me, that it's not the ultimate version

Well considering you can plug in a wired 360 controller or any gamepad of your choice to play it like the console version only with improved mercenaries and (if your computer can handle it) much better detail, the PC version should be the way to go.

I played both versions. On the 360 I did well, I beat the game on Professional and had fun in Mercenaries. That said, after finishing 1-2 on the PC I felt so much more lethal, and this persisted throughout the entire game. It was a wonderful port with crisp, efficient graphics and perfect everything else. I hope Capcom changes their mind with PC DLC availability.

They did the same mistake as they did with Monster Hunter for PC... serious, does Capcom still want to make money or just piss off his consumers and fans!? I'm not sure anymore. I mean Batman Asylum went to PC and looked great, so why not RE5?? Any logic behind this 08/15-Message from Capcom?
