Cube World is a promising-looking RPG that has voxels and a focus on exploration. Oh yes. The video above gives a run through of where it's at in development -- keep in mind, this game only started in June of last year and there's plenty yet to be implemented.

The designer responsible for Cube World goes by the handle Wollay. As it so happens, he now works at Mojang. "Our current plan is to plug his brain directly to a keyboard and sell whatever comes out," writes Minecraft mastermind Notch. Don't worry, there's a diagram if you need help comprehending.

Wollay will continue expanding this current game in addition to starting something fresh at Mojang. "I'm used to work on multiple projects so I don't think it will impact Cube World development."

Independents growing up and giving back. These are the kinds of stories that make me want to do this job every day.
