Itching for some retro role-playing game action in the new year? Look no further than Zeboyd Games' little title, Cthulhu Saves the World!
The title will hit the Xbox LIVE Indie Games channel tomorrow morning for a cool 240 MS Points. If this tiny 15-second trailer doesn't sell you on it, take a look at the old-school Nintendo Entertainment System-style box art, which we've tossed in the gallery for you to enjoy with your eyeballs.
@Epic: I wish I could take credit for this. I am a Cthulhu enthusiast and will be picking this up with the quickness. The thought of my humble picturings being able to bring da funk and da noise to this world tickles my soul in a most salacious manner.
Been waiting sooo long for this game. Nice to see it get coverage. Also check out the devs othe game: breath of death IV. It's great old school rpg parody.
That trailer was pretty lame. This game is pretty much riding on the coattails of the Winter Uprising and hanging on by it's humor. This better be hilarious because it's obviously not going to be breaking any new RPG(Maker) ground.
For a good example of this, check out Space Funeral, guys. It's an Indie RPG that is absolutely awesome and absolutely horrible (technically) at the same time.
I just played the demo and the 5 or six minutes were so cute and well written it was a no brainer purchase. "no our relationship will be of rock star and groupie"
@plufim - This response is kind of late. Also, I didn't know that they were the organizers but it doesn't change the fact that they can still ride there own coattails. I was referring to games that probably aren't that great getting a lot more attention due to being involved with the Winter Uprising.
I don't think that just because they organized it means that their games are automatically awesome.
