Looks better than I thought it would. Still think the game is coming out too soon. I personally think they should have waited for a new set of consoles or the next cry engine to really show this game off, but as long as the gameplay problems I had with the 2nd one are fixed and the parts I like are developed further then this game could be really awesome.
This only fuels my decision to buy Crysis 2 before this one comes out. 3 looks amazing. As far as I think they could have gone with next gen consoles after seeing that tech demo, I would have thought this would make a next gen title. But hey, I can't complain about it coming to a console I own already!
The trailer gave me a headache. I hate seeing these quick cut, barely any gameplay in a gameplay trailer. The whole "slowly fall back showing a huge structure with heavy voice in the background" has been done to death. I'm just sick of these hollywood type trailers in general I suppose.

The almost complete departure from the main storyline in the original left me very dissapoint. Also i agree with everyone else the aliens as the main enemy made the game boring.
It wouldnt have been so bad if the aliens were more like the ones in the first game.
Other than having similar names the enemies have almost nothin in common. The game myaswell have been called something other than Crysis.

soooo, crysis 2 was considered shit compared to the first, was pirated more than sold, and had meh reviews... and they do a direct sequel to it?. EA wins again
They basically took everything that made the first game so gret an ruined it.

Well I enjoyed 2. I think this might be one those bridge titles to next gen too. Like Gun. It'll be on 360/ps3 but also on the next gen ones as well.
After the shitshow that was crysis 2 on PC Crytek better be eating a lot of crow if they ever want to gain back the PC community's trust, and they can start by having the director of crysis 2 eat an actual dead crow, then apologize for making a shitty little console port.
But goons in Crysis and Crysis 2 are laughable, especially when you go through game again, after doing aliens parts. They are completely unaware of their surroundings, laughingly easy to kill, slow, just a pushovers. Ceph - now, they have a lot to offer. Hard to kill, fast, agile, aware, wield heavy weapons, always have some nice, proper sized mech ready to throw at you. Humans are nice as a warm-up, but they are ultimately disappointing opponents in Crysis series.
And bow as a weapon totally make sense, when you consider situation in which you hunt Ceph under the dome for, lets say, weeks. Silent, powerful, easy to collect ammo from killed opponents. Sure, gameplay wise it will probably be just a gimmick, but still - it now looks better in my head.

I think the PC heads must have gotten a different game, cause I'm playing through Crysis at the minute(that's how keen I am for that game) and I just don't see how it's so much awesomely outrageously better than the second one.

Why is this in New York City? I at least hope this time there's more daylight levels, that are designed in a more "approach objectives your way" manner. I loved maps like the one that appears right after you gain the ability to cloak, but once the Aliens arrived the maps turned from free roaming segments to corridors. I also hope this is not Origin exclusive, and lasts at least a good 7 hours
Crysis 2 = The greatest shooter I've played in over 20 years. And I've played them all. I loved the perfect balance of linear/open level design that rewards exploration and how the gameplay allows you to play the game in completely different ways.
I adored Crysis 2 and can't wait for the sequel.

Damn, that looks awesome. Definitely feels a lot like Crysis 2, but that's certainly not a bad thing.
Also, I'm sure that's not the final box art, but it would be awesome if they kept it. WAY cooler than most of the man-standing-in-the-foreground-while-shit-goes-on-in-the-background crap we've been seeing nothing but these days.

Well, since a bunch of people whined because Crysis 2 was actually a more polished a directed experience than the first game, I'm sure plenty of people will bitch about this one too. If only so they can feel some superiority in the fact that they are PC gamers. You guys can just keep pretending that really big maps with nothing much to do in them makes the first game hugely superior instead of just adding tons of empty running sections to the game. As for me, I think this looks sweet. Crysis 2 was awesome.
