It definitely makes me want to kick ass in a nanosuit, but not without a few reservations. Halo has done a lot to burn everyone out on the whole 'alien invasion' plot line.
You're right, Jim, I hope they focus on the single player because that would be the only draw for me. I played the demo on the 360 and was not impressed. It wasn't as smooth as COD, Halo or even Battlfield and felt more, to me, like Blacklight Tango Down than anything else.
It's going to have fantastic music, sweet sounds, beautiful, although overly blurred, graphics, and some cool scenes.

If only they could make this game more derivative and with less substance? And have guys wearing suits that look like the Michelin man with no skin? And pretend to leak a beta to draw attention to a game there is little reason to care about? Success!
Has anyone even played the single player version of the first Crysis? It was phenomenal, a great combination of open world style maps with focused objectives like in a COD game.
Looks absolutely nothing like the first one, and neither does the multiplayer.... Not necessarily a bad thing, though, the multiplayer demo was fun, and I'll be getting this anyway.
The game looks legitimately fun. The first one did as well. I've always wanted to play them, but my computer would explode.
Crysis 1 > all other popular shooters. The amount of freedom and creativity offered to the player sets it far above the cutscene! / fighting area / cutscene! crowd. Stoked for Crysis 2 and hope it's a great sequel.

I found Crysis 1 boring, Crysis warhead was a step in the right direction.
But all these people talking about freedom and choice? Crysis 1 was not open world....

Oh and the Crysis 2 Beta was great! Just wish I had the dolla to pick it up...
At least I have all there other games on my shelf, might have to pick it up later on so I have the complete set. Will be a steam buy though because the Crysis 1 and Farcry 2 special editions were crap. With Brink/ Deus ex/ Portal 2 and Duke coming out I think the kids are going to be eating a lot of rice.
