Hey, EA games on Steam is good news. While I doubt that it'll be a continuing trend and EA sucking up and going on Steam again, this is still good news nonetheless.
I swear to God I saw this game for less than 10 dollars on Amazon's download service. It's also 9 dollars shipped for a boxed version from Amazon.

Normally, I'd be kinda ecstatic about the prospect of ME3 coming back to Steam where it belonged, but then I realized it was Mass Effect 3.

I would of called this a joke, but then I remembered Jim Sterling's fantastic article "And you wonder why developers 'hate' PC gamers ..." and remembered how much more funny that was compared to this disappointing "re-release".
Crysis 1 did a good job making the transition onto the consoles. Why couldn't everyone have something like that on all platforms, but with improvements? Instead what we got felt more like a spin-off.

Wasn't the dispute over how DLC would be delivered to the game?
I figure this is just a sign that EA is done with it and knows that they can make more money if it's on Steam than if it wasn't. If they're done with updates for the game, the terms that were in dispute that resulted it being pulled don't really matter any more.

This is the only thing I can hope for, re-releasing an old game for $40 when you are bound to find it on sale for $10-15 seems iffy to me. I guess if you reeeally want all those multiplayer elements, have at it. Hope the community is still big

They should release Battlefield 3 on Steam so I actually can be bothered getting the game. They would get a lot more sales if they just buckled in and sold it at Steam.
I just got into crysis2 having never played 1 (not a pc gamer) I'm actually really enjoying it both single and multiplayer
Since Steam has that rule that game + ALL DLC must appear ALSO on Steam, I wouldn't be surprised if EA only gives Steam complete products [game + ALL DLC] once EA has finished releasing official content for the game's life-span.
I wonder if Dragon Age 2 and Mass Effect 2 will get Complete Editions on Steam eventually...and other digital services, as well.

Steam doesn't have any such policy about the DLC having to be on steam. There's a few other games that illustrate that as well.

I hope to see more EA games on Steam. The more buying choices the better. I personally have not jumped on Crysis 2 yet, only because I did not like the closed world. I will be more likely to jump on it now that I can get it off Steam sometime down the road.

At least its an EA game on steam. I'm hoping and praying that Dead Space 3 is going to be available on Steam, because otherwise I might have to just rent the console version or something.
Translation: our games don't sell on our own platform because no one wants to install bloatware/adware on their computer just to get a less competent version of a service they've already had for 9 years now.

Anyways, I played the game and haven't had any real reason to revisit it really.

If the versions that come to Steam are complete ones, I'm a-okay with that. The dispute seemed to lie with EA not being able to make money off of DLC on Steam, so I think we probably will be seeing more "complete" versions in the future.
