I don't get it. Why does DLC almost always focus entirely on multiplayer and ignore single player? I'd have dropped 10 bucks for say... 2 more hours of single player, but not for this.
I don't think that's asking too much. Give me a half-assed story, a couple of short hours of stuff to shoot at, and a reason to get a game I enjoyed back out of the cabinet for a little while. Surely that would have sold better than a handful of maps for a multiplayer mode that, to my knowledge, no one even plays anymore.

I miss UT2004. They used bundle up like 20 maps and release them for free. Twice. Now we pay this much for so little. It's just depressing.

Hey, I still loved the game! But just like a lot of other FPS campaigns, once you've beaten it twice, there's not much else to do...
And to be fair, my review was never about the multiplayer :)

Is this worth buying? The game, I mean, not the DLC. I'm asking because I don't want to drop $30-$40 if nobody plays the game.
I recently sold this, after owning it since launch day. The singleplayer was great, but the multiplayer was, and is, horribly laggy. They have yet to fix this issue, because they're busy making map packs, apparently. I wanted to keep this game for a long time, but alas, it was not to be.
@WarZombie: Not really, I can think of much better for $30-40 bucks. I don't rec it till its $20. Plus I think its still $60.

most people don't like to add to the SP in FPSes because
A) people would complain that they should save that stuff for the sequel.
B) they would bitch for MP maps instead.
Borderlands, Gears 2, and Resident Evil 5 are the only shooters I can think of with added campaign time.
