CryENGINE 3-powered Monster Hunter MMO coming to China

1:00 PM on 04.18.2013

Dying for some true "next-gen" monster hunting and are not satisfied with a mere remastered up-port? Put your worries to bed, because here comes Monster Hunter Online, an exciting new PC installment powered by CryENGINE 3 and ready for testing this June.

Oh, and it's only for China.

A joint project by Capcom and Chinese media group Tencent, Monster Hunter Online will be free-to-play and contain monsters from the entire history of the series, including the Japanese-only PC game Monster Hunter Frontier. There's also a beast that requires 24 players to take down and even battles that take place while riding motorized water crafts!

And it's only for China.

Review: Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn (Patch 2.5)

Final Fantasy XIV has come a long way. Although there wasn't any real endgame content to speak of when A Realm Reborn launched in its 2.0 incarnation, Square Enix worked hard to deliver in 2.1, and has continued to deliv...more

Surprise! Elder Scrolls Online is dropping the fee for existing subscribers, console version dated

When I reviewed The Elder Scrolls Online back at launch I thought it had potential, but not enough to keep people paying for subscription time. Plenty of MMOs have enjoyed a subscription-based model, and games like ...more
