Cryamore demo is live, composer covers Katamari

Double Cryamore news, everybody! First off is the GDC demo's release to the public. I haven't had a chance to test it out myself (it looks like it will take around 7 hours to download), but it's free, so I can't be too bitter about slow servers. Download it here and check out the rest of the Cryamore dev. tumblr for details on content/controls/etc. You can also play it in-browser if you have Unity Web Player installed (which you should, because it's neat).

The other news is that the composer of Cryamore Aivi Tran and her robot pal Surasshu (who's doing sound work on the game) have a new album out. Their first single is a cover of Lonely Rolling Star from Katamari Damacy. If that wasn't enough, every download comes with a 14-page comic about Aivi and Surasshu's sci-fi archaeological adventures drawn by Diana Jakobsson. The album is pay what you want, so it doesn't have to set you back too much. More so, listening to great music while reading fun comics is a great way to pass the 7 hours until your Cryamore demo downloads.

In an ideal world, all Kickstarter games would find a specific audience and fully meet their needs. I'll settle for the occasional project that has a solid pitch, looks promising based on what's shown and who is involved, and...more

Persona 5 is coming to PS4, gets first trailer

Atlus' YouTube has our first look at Persona 5, which appears to have a ruffled brown haired boy protagonist and subways. Not a lot to get excited about aside from the fact that Persona 5 is exciting inherently. Though there was an announcement of a PS4 version of the previously PS3-restricted title. Makes sense. more

The latest Bravely Second trailer shows off the first in-game footage we've seen

This is only the second trailer for Bravely Second we've seen just yet, though with all the smaller tidbits of news surrounding the game, it sure seems like there's been a lot more. This time around we get to feast our eyes ...more

Costume Quest 2 is still cute, trying to be more engaging

Costume Quest, like every Double Fine game, is charming. It's a fresh-feeling, low stakes take on the JRPG genre, more Earthbound than Final Fantasy. Though, as Chad put it in his review, it's "RPG Lite," accessible...more
