Criterion reveal new 'Extreme Hotrod' for Burnout Paradise photo

OK, let's me just say this right now -- Criterion has done downloadble content better than anyone else this generation. Sure, Harmonix/MTV are rocking it weekly with Rock Band DLC, but Criterion's Burnout Paradise stuff? All free, and mostly radically game-changing.

Today, the developer has revealed yet another new addition to the series, the "Extreme Hotrod." Sometimes in early 2009, the new Carson Extreme Hotrod will be made available. They're teasing that the car will re-imagine the game's boost system, and will handle more realistically than any other vehicle in the game; other than that, they're keeping quiet on specifics.

The car was revealed over on the PlayStation.Blog, but we're pretty certain we'll also see this vehicle hit the Xbox 360 version of Burnout Paradise

Are we all unanimous here in our "do wants"?

I love Criterion, but where are the planes? Aerial takedowns = WIN!

@brainderailment

Ditto. I've had it for about a week and I'm LOVING it. I'm really a sim racing fan and I kinda just bought it because I felt like it was right to support what criterion is doing. However, its been my go to game even with gears 2, fable 2, dead space, saints row 2, and farcry 2 vying for my attention.

Nice car but the 2009 nine stuff that comes after the Island update, will actually be premium DLC. I'm still not complaining though, as they had to bring out something that will bring them in some bugs eventually. And after a year of excellent free support I'm actually tempted to support the further by buying this stuff.
And you know what's even stranger? Burnout Paradise was published by EA!!!
OMFG the world will come to an end! You heard it here first^^

where's the plane update criterion! if they do that... holy shit, that'll be awesome. This hot rod, if free, will boost criterion to one of my favorite dev teams ever, also that flying car, if that's free, I will love criterion forever. the bike update being free was already amazing and the fact they keep pumping out DLC is just phenomanol.
