Finally, after month after month of salivating on screenshots, small bits of video, hopes and fantasies about whether or not
Crisis Core will be what I want it to be, the time is nearly here. It seems that the details have finally been confirmed for a live launch event, which will take place at the
Playstation Store in San Francisco at the Meteron from 6-9 pm on March 25th.
The first 200 people are guaranteed a copy of the game and the first 100 will get a free shirt. There will also be a raffle for limited FF merch and a signed lithograph. The best (and nerdiest) part to me, though, is that if you attend they can make you a Shinra ID card with your name and photo on it. I'm sorry, but I really want one of those. Why? Just...so I can....look at it alone and be happy I have it, I guess. Wow. That sounded pathetic.
Oh yeah, the video above is called "episode three" and is apparently new too, although I haven't seen a shred of new video for this game for months so I don't know if I would even recognize new footage. I don't care. I didn't even watch the whole thing. I want my Shinra card.

a card.
o kaay.
anyways the boss theme remix in that video was awesome and makes me wish i had a psp. i hope FFIV is coming out soon so i can satisfy my Final Fantasy needs. hmm i think I will start playing FFIII right now.
All you do is press X, magic is barely necessary.
Oh, and you can only level up if you get lucky with the right slots. Yep, it's a slot game like in Vegas that determines your strength.
I'll still get it though, cause I love FF7.
While they say that, It's not really the case. The levels come at a fairly regular clip. I'm already up to level 20 and I've only played for 6 hours now. Granted I've also been playing every side mission that comes my way... It's still not as random as one might thinks.
There ARE things that level randomly though. Your materia seem to level kinda randomly. But this is rarely a problem.

Is fairly laughable, Just saying.
While the game looks interesting, I think I'll wait on the reviews first before I decide on whether or not to pick this up.
Typo alert! It's 'Metreon', not 'Meteron'. :)
Square is weak attack, triangle is strong. both can be modified by holding different combos of the shoulder buttons and of course, by stringing together huge combos.
God of War has a far deeper combat system than any Kingdom Hearts game, that's for sure.
Considering I've killed basically everything in the first two levels of Chains of Olympus with just the weak attack button, I'm not sure how having 2 buttons really matter. But hey. 2 buttons is some deep ass combat.
Not finishing FFVII isn't a big deal, Since this game takes place before it.
Now, I'm not going to have an internet fight, but trust me: God of War has depth, something Crisis Core supposedly lacks.
Hey, I'll be picking up Crisis Core myself, I just know the combat will dissapoint me. It doesn't bother me; I'm just there for the story.
Apparently the later Crisis Core side missions are filled with baddies that can one-shot you, so "You won't get far without rolling or blocking." Does this mean I get to call someone a troll?
on my NOT PSP
Can we do it together? It's fun when you get mobs of people saying shit like `fuck off` and `you're a troll`
@EDS:
I can't play on the hardest fucking difficulty. Since it's locked and I have to go through Hard first. And Hard was basically a cakewalk after playing DMC4. So much so that I've lost interest. So what else you got? Cause that's not really cutting it.
You have to pick and choose what you do in Crisis Core. It's not a straight combo system like in GoW and DMC. You don't have the luxury of having everything mapped out for you. You have to cycle through what you have, quickly, to get by.
I've been playing it for 10 hours now, Which is a damn sight more then I've ever been able to stomach one GoW game.
@BrainDerailment:
I have. Have you ever played Rygar? Yeah. It's pretty close to the same game.
Sucks to be me.
