Pretty spot on! Gotta love those quick time events. Honestly i never owned a PS2 as a kid and I just could see the appeal of these games. I bought a PS3 off a friend for $150 and it turned out to be a great dust collector because the PS3 just doesnt do shit for me, i hate the controller and i hate its interface. I forced myself through uncharted 2 and then that was the end of my days with that machine. Not trolling, just how i feel. Games are games, opinions dont mean shit. Carry on...

Oh trust me, there are WAY more worst videogame characters out there than Kratos. As for killing the same enemies all the time, who doesn't? Master Chief? Shoot them in the fucking body. Rinse and repeat. That game is also linear as fuck. Mario? Jump on those brainless koopas and goombas, with some ocassional fire flower. Gordon Freeman? Crowbar their faces like there's no tomorrow! See? All the same killing style. Don't be cherry-picking, you stupid kumquat.

This negativity towards God of War has all originated from the game journalists, and i blame them for perpetuating the myth that God of War is simply a button mashing game. Its way too superficial a reading of the series, and causes people like the commenters in the posts above to troll their uninformed opinions in forums like these.
The linked blog was pretty awesome, actually. I love blogs/videos/interviews following the creative process like this. The ideas they come up with behind the scenes are always exponentially more awesome than the end product.

God of war was one of the greatest video game franchises released on the playstation. And the game is amazing. Anyone thinking its a button masher is and idiot and have never played the game.. also this is a good idea for the series. its innovating and yes theres quick time events atleast its in game and looks good.
