Crackdown 2's Rocket Tag playable at PAX East photo

Apparently I am the guy who will be informing you of all exciting PAX East happenings -- what games will be playable, who's doing what panels, etc. -- even though I'm not going to the show. *shakes fist at Hamza*

Ruffian Games will be presenting PAX attendants with the opportunity to play 4 vs. 4 in Team Deathmatch as well as everyone's favorite Rocket Tag in Crackdown 2. Although it was not explicitly specified, this will all presumably be going down at the Microsoft booth.

Some new screenshots and video footage of the game are supposedly releasing tomorrow -- expect a post from one of us detailing that stuff. It'll help ease the pain, I promise.

I bought crackdown day one, and wasn't really impressed. I found it brought nothing fresh, or exciting to the genre. Just mindlessly running around, killing, doing the same things over and over.

I hope the second instalment changes my perception on this. This time I'll definitely rent before I buy.

@Nyktharas: I had the exact opposite experience. I tried the demo, and felt it was "meh". So I bought the game for the Halo3 beta. The actual game was amazing, and really overshadowed the beta. Really looking forward to more.

I'm with Usedtabe. The original surprised the hell out of me. Sure, it was pretty mindless, but it was really, really fun mindlessness.

I don't know how I feel about the inclusion of mutants in the story though. I would much have preferred the massive open world of Crackdown...with zombies.
