Cower in fear from Tails Doll in Sonic issue #240

I suppose that while we wait for "The Big One," we might as well keep up to speed (heh!) with the Blue Blur and his current battle against a much more deliberate Dr. Eggman in the the Archie Sonic comics.

To recap, Eggman recently tried to reset history via the power of the Chaos Emeralds, but though he failed in his attempt, he was able to roboticize Sonic's gal Sally Acorn during the struggle. With a new Death Egg, reconstructed Metal Sonics, and now Mecha Sally, Eggman dealt a crippling blow to the Freedom Fighters' morale. Those who still wished to fight regrouped into small cells and embarked on separate missions -- Sonic, Tails, and Amy are in pursuit of Eggman and Sally; Rotor, Cream, and Big are defending their home of New Mobotropolis; and a special covert squad are attempting to thwart the evil king who gained control of the city by preying upon the people's need for any kind of structure.

Which brings us to #240, arriving in comic stores on August 29. Sonic, Tails, and Amy are protecting other villages from Eggman's robots, allowing Eggman to attack New Mobotropolis directly. To disable the force field, he employs the everyone's favorite nightmare fuel from Sonic R, Tails Doll, which was only just introduced to the comic some issues back.

There are two covers for this issue: a sugary pink number depicting Amy Rose and a variant featuring sprites from the Genesis games. I think the choice is clear.
