Not on Xbox 360 because Microsoft won't open XBLA to Valve's Steamworks service. It's the same deal with Portal 2.

Is it possible to support a mouse and keyboard on a 360? I honestly have no idea if it is or not. Seems to me that if it IS possible then yeah, pretty silly to leave them out. However, if it's not, then this is the right move as it'd just be ridiculous to expect people with gamepads to compete against mouse and keyboard players.

What? Microsoft tested this concept but found that PC gamers had too great an advantage. Valve are great but they can't work miracles.
The no xbox 360 is microsofts desicion, not valves.
Also, this is a good start for two great things...
1. PS3 owners will be able to play a large community game with a mouse and keyboard if they so choose.
2. Console only owners will get a good idea of how "superior" they think a gamepad really is against a mouse and keyboard.

I am willing to bet that a large portion of the dedicated server people will run will include some plugin that someone is bound to write that makes it a PC/Mac server.
Actually the lack of cross-platform play is a stupid close-minded move from ms... If they keep it up it'll be the death of us all.... =/
I can't help but wonder how Move will fare against M/K. Reasons to grab a Sharpshooter bundle seem to increase every week.
Gotta be with their Steam support like with Portal 2. Plus, Valve praises the PS3 for being a slightly more open platform than the Xbox. I'll get it through Steam, but that's awesome news for the PS3 crowd.
Well, this just makes my plans of weening my little brother off the consoles even better, get him a decent keyboard and mouse to play this on the ps3 when it launches, then eventually move him up to my old pc :D
I would still buy this game on PC, but it's a sweet that they're giving PS3 fans a chance to try this concept out.

This is a pretty cool thing. I like to see cross platform games work together. Wish they would open that stuff up on all games.
On PC and 360 buying it, sux no 360 vs PC... But Ill still kick the butt of those PS3/controller players...
@tristix I know the xbox can use a keyboard but probably not a mouse.

This is great news - EVERY PS3 game should have M/K support.

awesome. i'm leaning towards the ps3 version, any chance they will include a steam copy with like what they did with portal 2? would be the cherry on top.

Lol, i was only planning to get the 360 version, but now that the steam version let's you whip on PS3 owners I'll give it a go!!!

I don't understand gamepad whingers. How can you moan that it's an unfair advantage , get with it and use a mouse . Mouse and keys should be supported for all fps on ps3 , non mouse support is why I held out sinking getting a console . Get a mouse and have fun playing instead of getting frustrated with innacuracy and slow speed!
I like how they try to make it look more impressive by adding huge black borders around the CS 1.6/Source footage.
i got the 360 version of portal 2 because i didnt know anyone on the ps3 who was gonna get it. even though its the same case for counter strike, the mouse/keyboard setup is too damn good to pass up.
The PlayStation 3 version of the game will allow you to not only use a standard gamepad, but PlayStation Move and a MOUSE AND KEYBOARD ASWELL.
