Counter-Strike: Global Offensive pre-order now on Steam
You can put money down on your Steam download of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive today, ahead of the August 21 release date. Why would you do that? Well, pre-purchases on Steam get both a 10 percent discount and early access to the beta, set to go down on August 14. If you don't preorder, terrorists win. If you don't preorder, it would be globally offensive. In related news, for both the series and discounts, this week's Midweek Madness (August 7-9) will bring "huge savings" on the entire Counter-Strike franchise. Did you know? You can now get daily or weekly email notifications when humans reply to your comments.
Legacy Comments (will be imported soon)Speaking from having been in the beta for a good 6 or so months, everyone fucking buy this shit, it's great! You can always count on Valve to sell awesome games for awesome prices. Seriously what other AAA company would sell a highly anticipated new game for 15 bucks? CS has always felt too intimidating for me. As much as I love Valve, the CS series is one that I can't get into based on previous experiences where I've gotten my ass handed to me and the game just did not seem fun as a result. I'll probably end up buying it if its good. Frankly though I only do pre-orders on stuff that will be extremely hard to find later if I don't go ahead and get it. Stuff like Disgaea, Xenoblade, and The Last Story. Anything else I don't mind putting up more money if I am for sure I'm getting something I'm not going to regret buying later, frankly this approach saves me money. I hope they bring back the pc/ps3 xplatforming again. I've played counter-strike for a long ass time, but I mainly do my gaming on the ps3. I don't want to play this game if a majority of the players on ps3 are lone-wolf-cowadooty-noobs... CS:GO is a 10ˆ game? Wait, what? I was expecting AAA price tag.
