As if we needed further evidence that videogames are SERIOUS business, an alleged Counter-Strike cheater in Jilin, China was rushed to hospital with a giant kitchen knife jammed into his skull. A group of kids were arguing with the 17-year-old player over his use of wall hacks at a 'Net cafe, when they introduced him to a little hacking of their own.
Amazingly, the teenager lived and hasn't even suffered any long-term damage. According to doctors, the blade missed all major arteries so he will still have his motor control and return to a life of cheating. It's been noted that the blade was rusty, so even though the victim is fine, he's being observed just to make absolutely sure.
A narrow escape, and an important life lesson learned. If you try and clip through walls, some angry gamers might try and clip through your head.

More on topic... I weep for the gaming community. I can see some 'Fox News' and 'Daily Mail' news reports in the near future - all because some idiot couldn't just cut his looses and quit the game.

Cheating in online games is shitty, but it makes me have less faith in humanity that it escalates to attempted murder so easily.

Seriously though, this is a fucked up story, i fully understand being pissed and even wanting to toss a few punches at a cheater, but to stab them, even if you were swining to just wound them is insane. I hope they catch these kids quickly and remove them from society forever.
Now if only we could do this to every MW2 player.....
