While I was busy having a generally fun time at PAX and sometimes trying not to die, other people were there to get work done. Props to them, especially the ones that happen to work on this very Web site.
Joystiq also fell into that category, it seems. While speaking to Red Steel 2's creative director, Jason VandenBerghe, the site was told that he "personally would love to see any and all consoles have more sword fighting experiences."
Even though he'd also "love" to see the Red Steel series specifically make it to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, Jason admitted that ultimately, the decision would be all Ubisoft's. Knowing Ubisoft, I wouldn't be shocked to see the company have a similar interest in bringing Red Steel to other consoles down the line.
Would such an idea be worth pursuing? That's where I'm not so sure.
Jordan Devore is Destructoid's PC gaming manager and founding ginger editor. He is said to be easy to love but difficult to know. When Samit inquired about his curious bio photo Jordan simply replied:
"bitches love sandcastles" ... yet, there is no sandcastle in that photo. We may never truly understand his ways.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
I really want Red Steel 2 to be a worthwhile game, but I can't tell without playing it. Has anyone demoed the game to say how the controls are?
LOL agreed! Although RS2 looks promising. Well have to wait and see.
the casuals have the wii - it's yours, you win!
stay outta my xbox/ps3!
Red Steel. Setting the incredibly high benchmark in motion controlled gaming.
^THIS
Now, No More Heroes 2 needs some multiplatform love ^___^
@Ender_x
Being on a real system will not make a game good especially one as flawed as Red Steel.
I really couldn't care less about Red Steal either, but come on don't over-exaggerate how bad the series is. First off, only one game has come out for the so called "series" so far, and it was a launch game with problems. It didn't review all that well, but it was still a million seller none the less. So If Red Steal 2 comes out, gets good reviews and sells really well, are you saying that people should ignore that fact and not like the franchise just because they screwed up the quality of the first one?
If it turns out to be a good a game, than it could be cool on other platforms as well, because the cell shaded artstyle looks cool, but I can't see Ubisoft putting it on any other system though. Just for the fact that it would lose face with Nintendo and right now the Wii is a cash-cow for Ubisoft, so I can't see them doing it anytime soon. Plus this is just a producer of the game, so he was probably asked the question at PAX and answered it from what he would want to happen. So of course he would love for the game to be on every platform, then he would have a secure job for the next few years.
Why would you say sorry to Nintendo? It's Ubisoft's game, so Nintendo had nothing to do with the development of the first game, or the second one for that matter. Its just on their console, but they didn't make it!
@Hondo Kitsune
yeah It is not Nintendo's fault that the plot was bad, multiplayer,Lack of online multiplayer, HAD A TON OF GLICHES, and the motion controls were slow.
that was all UBIsoft.
so yeah
