Corpse Party is getting a sequel, but it isn't what you think. Corpse Party The Anthology: Sachiko’s Game of Love – Hysteric Birthday 2U is actually a spin-off and romantic comedy featuring a new cast of characters and, if this opening cinematic is any indication, a much less macabre atmosphere than what was almost certainly the most disturbing game to hit the PSP last year.
Developed by 5pb, this follow-up to Team GrisGris' dōjin visual novel is gearing up for a Japanese PSP release later this year. If you can understand moonspeak and are interested in importing a copy I thought you'd might like to a know a limited edition of the game will be available for ¥7140 (roughly $90) that includes Corpse Party Missing Footage, an original film on DVD.
God damnit. I wanted Book of Shadows, and they give me a fucking Visual Novel?
I know it's not like they can read my mind, but come on. You'd have to be a pretty big weeaboo to want this instead of more adventure gaming goodness. Christ on a cracker.
Well... that certainly is a change of tone. I played the PSP game last year and it was one of the saddest most disturbing stories I've ever seen in a game.
