I'm convinced that the average Mario modder is a complete nutjob. Not because he or she wants to mod the classic game, which is just fine. It's the WAY the games are modded that makes me doubt the complete sanity of these people. That's ok though, because I'm sure the indignant exclamations of "WTF???" would be greatly reduced without their existance.

In the above Mario mod, the player uses his hand to guide Mario along and navigate obstacles. Seems less functional than simply using a controller, so personally it doesn't appeal to me until about 2 minutes into the video, which is when you can't help but utter some expletitives. I won't ruin it for you. Just watch it for yourself.

(I forgot to mention the delightful rendition of the theme song, which I find quite pleasing.)

Much more functional than the power glove, yet equally pointless.

You know you suck when: You can barely beat World 1-1 with 100 marios.

Awesome mod though, it would be more chaotic if the goombas also got bounced around by your hands. I wanna play Katamari Damacy with this mod and punch and flick around the Katamari.

I would like to control masses and masses of marios and conquer the world using only my hand... So this is neat.

I have to admit, that's one of the cooler mods I've seen. I love how all the tiny Marios became cannon fodder at the end. Poor little bastards. xD

And I hope you're kidding about the background music. That was one of the most annoying songs I've heard in my life.

I'm not understanding why you guys are calling this a "mod", which in my eyes means you think it's a ROM hack. This isn't a mod of anything, it's a totally different game, and if you even so far as try to tell me that it's a NES ROM I will shoot you down with the "8 per scanline" rule of the NES.

Sonicandtails - In your eyes, you're wrong. A mod is a shortened version of the word modification, which is what this is - a modification made to an original game. That's why the word is used.

1,000,000 internets for anyone who can track down the maker of this and get him to release it as a game.
I would play this so hard.
