Definitely the first time you get to use the Hammer of Dawn on the Berserker. God I hated the dodge segments, and to finally blast him felt so good.
My favorite thing about the Gears of War Universe has to be the Hammer of Dawn; nothing beats raining down holy hell on your opponents!
The moment my eyes eventually closed after seeing maria's death, this was a week later. I still see her in my dreams and whenever I close my eyes.
My favorite part of Gears of War has always been running the co-op campaign with my nephew. Lots of fun!
Mentioning Maria's death is a cliché, but the moment surpassed my expectations. I mean, it's a Gears game, bur the moment was sad, wonderful, orchestrated.
One of my favourite scenes is riding the big creature (its name escapes me) towards the end of the second game.
I liked playing co-op in Gears of War 2 were you and your buddy have to carry that bomb together. It felt like a helping your friend move sim, were you have to carry a couch through tight corridors. And also shoot things.
I love the cut seen where minh dies. Raam looks bad ass.

When Marcus announces over the comm. that the Locust are using a "GIANT WORM" to sink cities. I laugh every time.
The part in the first one where it's dark and the psycho bats (or whatever those were) kill you if there is no light was pretty tense and the giant worm was really cool in Gears 2.
There is only one answer to this question: Hijacking a motherfucking Brumak! Is anyone seriously going to try to argue that some moment, any moment, tops hijacking a mutant t-rex loaded with rocket launchers?

Playing the first mission in the first Gears of War game and constantly hearing Cole scream, "Gotta go. Alpha's waiting!" every five seconds.
Playing co-op original Gears on as the first game on my computer, back when I first put it together.
My absolute favorite moment in the Gears series is riding a freakin' brumak. also boom headshot! a head should ALWAYS explode when shot.
GOW2 was one of my first games. I played through with my friend while my wife was away wedding dress shopping. My favorite cut scene has to be when everyone come out of the worm.

My favorite moments have to be from staying up until 6am playing and having to get up the next morning for class.
Any interaction between Marcus and the Carmines. "Heard there's a shitload of grubs down there". "More like ten shitloads."
My favorite gears moment was when I first encountered a Berserker, I ran around screaming and kept getting pummeled, while my friend got increasingly pissed off. >.<

My favorite moment has to be the rail-car section from the first Gears. The way John DiMaggio overacts is fucking hysterical.

Probably the "speech" cut-scene in Gears 2; that speech ending in a triumphant chorus as masses of CoG soldiers got ready to attack the Locus made me realize just how large scale the game wanted to be; and how much is actually happening outside of Delta squad.
