All you have to do is post a comment to support my extra curricular blogging activities over at WePC.com, where a few bloggers are talking about building futuristic computers that dont' suck.  This week's topic is about the concept of performance.  What does that actually mean in gaming laptops? Raw power? A premium dongle? Something else?

The general consesus so far is a giant video card with a notebook attached instead of vice versa.  I tend to agree, but solely focusing on a clamshell with muscle has made for some unsavory and otherwise butt-ugly computers in the past.  I think its important to note the nuances inbetween, like future-proofing and portability.

Asus has pledged to actually build and sell our crowdsourced gaming notebook idea, which is pretty exciting in my pants. By sharing your ideas your registered to win the games and influence what the hell this thing will look like.
