Ah, the wonderful ulcer that is E3. Let me reminisce: As many of you know, Destructoid wouldn't exist if it wasn't for forcing me to go out of my way to build a gaming site just to get credentials to the damn show, so going back every year always fills my stomach with a combination of love for the gaming industry and disgust of all the filthy man-sweat I'm going to have to endure to witness the bleeding edge of next-gen gaming through the cracks of my robot helmet while having booth babes run from across the room to jump all over my metal. I know it's gonzo, but I'll dearly miss bringing you shameless booth babe photos from this event. Maybe I can get some fat guys to show me their man boobs this year instead.
On a personal note, I'm very proud to deliver to you with the largest staff of editors I've ever sent to E3. I'd like to thank all the companies the people that made this possible -- you know who you are. I'm going to apologize ahead of time I say something totally inappropriate over a beer; we obviously wouldn't be here without your support. Look for a few surprise faces on the home page this week -- this is going to be a lot of fun. Actually, I'd like you to be as much a part of it as possible. Yup, contest!
To prepare for the onslaught of news and discussion coming this week we've upgraded our site software -- you can now tag your community blogs "E3 Expo 2008" and select stories will appear on our E3 feed located on the right of the page. We're also putting our exclusive swag behind it: The top 5 community blogs this week will win grab bags of everything we can get our filthy hands on at the event. Games. Shirts. Posters. Signed stuff. Little keychain things. Dirty underwear. Compromising photos. Everything!
All you have to do is blog your little heart out about E3: your predictions, expectations, reactions, rumors, news findings, and so on. Some articles will also be selected to appear on the home page as well. The winners will be determined by the c-blogs with the most hits, the most comments, the least flamebaiting, and otherwise unique perspectives on this year's show. The contest ends one week after E3, so post-apocalypse essays will be eligible if your day job prevents you from not doing your day job. You can also check us out on your mobile phone by going straight to Destructoid.com or via the 310.TV mobile portal. The contest is open to all Dtoiders, US, Canada, Europe, and BFE, so get blogging!
We hope you'll join us in our coverage of E3 next week! Also, cocks.
