Did you know what when Infinity Ward revealed the packshot for Modern Warfare 2, some people were bitching and whining that an Xbox 360 box was revealed and not a PS3 one, even though they basically look the same? Seriously, that is what people, some of them grown adults, are like. Apparently it makes Infinity Ward really angry, too.
"I was talking to this one guy recently," explained IW's Robert Bowling, "He was a very angry PS3 user. Angry because he was like 'why aren’t you talking about the PS3 version?' and I’m like, NO, we’re talking about the GAME, not the 360 version. Just the fact that we have to explain that.
"Seriously. Calm down, and just look at this. The game is equal on every platform, so when we talk about a feature of the game it applies to the game as a whole. The console wars really anger me because so much effort goes into ensuring the game is the same on each platform."
Couldn't have said it better myself. You have to be a really, really insecure little man to perceive slights against a cold, hard machine and then choose to take those slights as a personal offense. Could you imagine two people having the same kind of heated fanboy arguments over their favorite type of cheese? It would be utterly ludicrous, but it's really no different to the stupid bullsh*t coming from most of these idiots.
Also, this is yet further evidence to my point that PS3 fanboys are the worst ones. They're always the ones involved in these anecdotes.

Take advantages of each platform, add exclusives, and you'll see better sales as well as more satisfied customers.
I think you would be hard pressed to get Uncharted 2 or MGS4 running on the 360 simply due to the lack of storage, but the 360 makes up for that with a higher volume of really good games. Console wars are silly, but the absolute neglect of good PS3 coverage is annoying.
Seriously, for a console that only sold 2 million more units than Gamecube did, you just couldn't post about a PS2 game ANYWHERE on Usenet without Xbot crashing the thread like you'd just slapped their mother.

I could've sworn that Nintendo fanboys where really bad during the last gen. In this generation however I've barely heard a beep from them, save for those few who are adamant on claiming that lackluster motion controls beats great visuals.

Exactly, of course the PS3 fanboys are gonna be more vocal about their complaints. That's what happens when you're in the minority, when you feel like the issues you speak of are getting ignored what do you do? SPEAK LOUDER!!
It happens all the time, and has happened to console users in past generations. None of this is new and hearing PS3 fanboys are the worst (just like GC/XB fanboys) is pretty damn obvious.
If both versions have all this effort put into making them great, show off both. I mean, why not? Just toss out some PS3 gameplay like you have with the 360. It's not a huge deal because I know IW is a good developer, but there are ways to inspire more confidence.
On that note, my response to a topic on console wars and fanboys has prompted me to turn off my pc and JSTFUAPG.

Shit. I remember back in the days of the Genesis vs. SNES wars I was a die-hard Nintendo fanboy because I really wanted to play all those cool games on the Genesis that I didn't have. It sucked. But I was also eight years old.
Nowadays though, there are so few exclusives that it really doesn't matter. Most everything is multi-platform, and unlike in the 16-bit era, the multi-platform games are pretty much identical on each platform. Even if they do suck a teensy bit more on the PS3 because of it's limits.
Personally, yes, I'll say I'm biased towards the Xbox for two reasons. As a gamer, I see more of the games I want to play either being exclusive to it or just performing better on it, and I like it's controller and OS compared to the PS3. Just personal preference. Also, as a game dev, I find it easier to work with and make my own games perform better on it. Frankly, Sony makes its system a bit of a pain to work with.
Does this mean that the PS3 is awful and bad and everyone who spent money on Sony's dumb-box is a idiot? No. Am I sad when a game I did want to play is a PS3-exclusive? Sure. Am I going to bitch about it? Fuck no.
Case in point: Demon's Souls. This is honestly the first PS3-exclusive that is so pants-creamingly desirable that I am willing to invest the hundreds of dollars to buy a 2nd console. None of the other exclusives, while masterful examples of their genre, have offered me such a distinctive play experience that I can't get on the system I already own.
So what am I going to do about this Demon's Souls game I want so badly? Bitch that it's not on my Xbox? Say that some Xbox RPG is superior? (There isn't one) Nope. I'm saving up some scratch and finally buying a damn PS3 so I can enjoys my games. That's what a GAMER does. And then I can finally play uncharted and killzone and whatever the fuck else I'm been holding off on.
November 3rd and that 250GB PS3 Slim can't come fast enough.
well you make descent point. but if noticed, final fanstasy went from being an exclusive to being multiplat, while cod was multiplat to begin with. If you want a better example, gta4 was multiplat from the beginning and was associated with ps3, but i do remember seeing gameplay vids and comercials where the xbox logo showed up. Even i, a guy who keeps up with these games, have trouble realizing some titles exist for ps3 because of how i always see the xbox logo in comercials. It never bothered me because, i would look into a good looking game even if i think it is a xbox exclusive. It is then i learn its coming to my system.
I love fanboys, and I love pissing people off that are annoyed by fanboys.
That being said, fuck Microsoft and the horse they rode in on.
