Apparently, NIS America has heard that people don't understand the gameplay behind its upcoming PSP title, Holy Invasion of Privacy Badman!, and thought it wise to offer a little bit of demonstration. I can understand that because I didn't really have any clue at all how the game worked before I tooled around with it on the E3 show floor earlier this month. It's pretty intuitive once you have your hands on it but that aspect is probably not going to help sell copies.
So, hit the jump and see how the first level of the game plays out. I'll admit, it isn't the best video. The resolution makes text hard to read which is probably why they skipped through so much of it in the demonstration. But it does show you how dungeons are built, monster spawning and a heroic demise.
Does this clarify things for you, or will you have to see next week's video showing level 2 before grasping it?

I gave the demo a spin last month and enjoyed it. My only problem was that there wasn't a visible timer for when the heroes arrived at your lair. Left me unprepared for the warrior and his cleric companion in (I think) stage 3.
It seems to be all about not over extendign yourself. The first mission can be cleared with a single Om Nom Fly, leaving you LOTS of dig power to power up your troops for the next wave, making it easier and easier in the long run.
Tried the demo out about a month ago & enjoyed it. Like gomeja said, it'd be nice if there was a timer, but otherwise, fun. Also enjoyed the humorous translation, especially in the info section.
Hoping to win that Badman contest where you can win copies of the game or special Badman building blocks.
This is the original game right? It's a shame if it is because the 2nd game is MUCH improved so we have to all buy this one to hopefully get the good one :/
I played the demo last week and was amazed. It's the first and only PSP game that I've actually been looking forward to before it was released. Looking forward to this sitting high atop the PSP library with the current best game on the platform: Downstream Panic.

And this game looks bonkers. I may just have to pick it up.
