O NOES, its so much of a hassle for me. Ill be honest the 2-3 min it takes to input a code is worth the 100+ hours of multi-player mayhem I will be enjoying from the product.

The much more important issue than inputting the code is how it effects the used game market, which is a major way that many of us can continue to afford new games.

It wouldn't be so bad if the codes could be input in-game. But having to exit out to the PS Store and redeem a code from there is a bit of a bitch.

I think what you are nit grasping is that its not the time taken to enter the code it's the fact you will no longer be able to get said game pre-owned which is a fucking kick in the balls.

All online games? Not just multiplayer ones? I can't wait to be forced to put in an online passcode just to use the Map Editor in Disgaea 5 (if and when it exists).
It's things like this that make me GLAD Nintendo is completely clueless when it comes to the internet. It's the only company whose system features games that contain 100% of the content on them when you purchase them.
Online connectivity is the worst thing to happen to gaming. The ability to play non-local multiplayer isn't worth the trade-off of on-disc DLC, online passes, and any other bullshit publishers decide to throw at us down the road.

Also, I am only interested in the campaign so this won't bother me much. I'll just buy it used, or possibly rent it if I do get Gamefly. It'll be strictly for the campaign. I was already on the fence about buying it, but this sealed the deal for me.
Also, the 'support the developers' arguments is ironic because this makes me not want to support them with a new sale due to how shitty a move it is. If I want to play Uncharted multiplayer I'll just pop in 2. :)

I nominate BlackMeat to be Sony's new rep. I think he'd be able to properly convey their plans in a manner consistent with the company's unique vision.
What's wrong with that? Everyone who whines about this should start being more grateful asap. You support neither dev nor publisher by buying a game pre-owned. This way, you can still support them. Willing to support devs is what keeps the industry going! Imho, Nintendo and Microsoft should do the same.
Confirmed: if I ever acquire a sony product, I will make sure sony does not see money from me.

I'm certain sony is more interested in re-selling PS2 games at an inflated price with no effort, sold to idiots, than doing the customer right by reimplementing backwards compatibility in the ps3.

Their just going to raise the cost of XBL Gold membership Membership to around $100. That will more than cover the cost of online passes for used copies of the one or two exclusives they roll out every year.
