Destructoid is gaming news, community, videos, and sometimes love. Take the tour or jump in with Facebook:

We don’t know much about Titmouse Games’ Seven Haunted Seas. But we do know four basic things: it’s an action RPG, it’s coming to consoles, the artwork has some serious style, and the protagonist, Scurvy Pete, is a pirate zombie.

Actually, scratch that number. After you watch the video post-jump, you’ll know a fifth fact: Seven Haunted Seas will have ninjas. Possibly zombie ninjas.

The footage you’re about to watch was cut from the end of the trailer revealed yesterday. As we understand it, Titmouse Games thought it impacted the tone negatively. I can’t disagree more. Any clip, no matter how brief, of ninja-on-zombie action is as heavenly as a painting of two gloamgozers sipping lemonade on a cloud made of ice cream. Divinity on this scale always trumps tone -- at least, according to a book I've conveniently misplaced for this occasion.

And yeah, gloamgozer artists, I just went there.

* Note: The voice over work is not final.

Pssh, any game where you play as a pirate fighting off ninjas is just silly pirate propaganda.

Unless they are of course Zombie Ninjas, then it's okay because everyone knows that anything titled zombie is made simply to be killed in a fun way.

I haven't seen a single screen of this game and yet and it seems amazing.

Wasn't sure how to communicate this to Dtoid staff, but here goes: I'm deleting Dtoid from my bookmarks and replacing it with Joystiq, cus the new red title thingies attached to all the headline pics sear my eyeballs and are just really grating to look at. Feedback ftw! :)

Why would Redcricketcase delete Dtoid stating that the RED title sear his eyeballs yet his name is red?

Titmouse? is this any relation to the Titmouse Inc. that makes Metalocalypse?
I'd definitely play a Brendon Small game!

I'd want this to be an action game so badly, but an RPG could be cool too I guess. I'll still support Titmouse, this game just oozes personality.
