Insomniac Games is creating a new game; confirmed.
On a podcast -- hopefully a recent one -- Insomniac community manager Bryan Intihar said that an unannounced game in the studio now has a playable build. “We’re not gonna tell you what they’re working on,” he said, referring to Insomniac, “but we can say we saw it and it’s really awesome.” Community relations manager James Stevenson followed-up Intihar saying, “Really good first playable. A lot of fun, a lot of potential and a long way off still.”
Insomniac is the studio behind Resistance: Fall of Man, Resistance 2, and the Ratchet & Clank series. With a new Ratchet title known to be in the works, it’s hard to shake off the feeling that the two men referred to a continuation of the PS3-exclusive shooter series, Resistance. Of course, this could be something totally new and absolutely mind-blowing. Insomniac is known for bursting brains with cool stuff.
We’ll probably forget these things were said whenever a new title is announced, but we’ll do our best to keep this little story in mind and ask if that was what these two community guys were talking about. Until that point in time -- possibly never -- give us some speculation. What game is this?

I would be very interested if they were working on some kind of new IP since I do enjoy the feel of their games. Here is to hoping.
Too bad they didn't have the rights to the IP, and other developers butchered it after Insomniac left it.

Yeah, that series went in a horrible direction. That sense of humor and feel of the early Spyro games and Ratchet and Clank I would love to see them apply to something new(not that there is anything wrong with R&C currently, they're great).
And I know this sounds immature and it's unrelated, but I want a sequel to Conkers Bad Fur Day.
New IP would be great though, i'd rather they'd step away from Resistance and make a new mascot platformer/puzzler/adventure game.
