Compare and contrast Final Fantasy X in SD and HD

8:30 AM on 07.09.2013

A new SD to HD comparison video has surfaced for Final Fantasy X HD, and it's worth checking out if you're interested in picking up the enhanced remake that's set for the PS3 and Vita later this year. At some points it's a bit hard to tell where the upgrades are at, but you can really see the difference when the video zooms in on the hair. Square Enix has also confirmed a pre-order art book bonus for a Limited Edition version of X/X-2 on the PS3.

I'm beyond excited for this, since Final Fantasy X is one of my favorite games in the series, despite the flack it may get for a few choice scenes. Considering the fact that I completed the sphere grid and everything there was to do in the original, I'm really glad the International Version is finally coming to the US in the form of this remake, so I can try my hand at crushing Penance -- I can't get enough Final Fantasy superbosses.

Oh, and Final Fantasy X also rocks because my chibi Tidus looks adorable.

So close, but still far away, Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster is doing a fine job of showing why the PlayStation 3 will still have a place in your entertainment center. How fine of a job? Final Fantas-free: 14 day Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn trial

Square Enix is offering 14 days of free Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn on PC. As someone who doesn't like MMOs, but likes Final Fantasy, I might just try it out. Fourteen may be the perfect number of days for me to get my fill. Or maybe I'll find myself a convert and end up a paying customer, as Square Enix likely hopes. more

Final Fantasy director Tetsuya Nomura designed a Batman figure that looks like a Gundam

Square Enix has partnered WB and DC for a PlayArts Kai line of Batman toys designed by Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts director Tetsuya Nomura. Not a single zipper in sight. Video: You could win the Theatrhythm: Curtain Call contest, I definitely won't

As we reported earlier today, Square-Enix is holding a contest to win some fabulous Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call prizes. All you have to do is create a short video of your own musical rendition of the Final Fantasy "Main Theme". I took the opportunity to try to turn this news report into an entry for the contest. I probably won't win.more
