PAX East 2012 is this week! Can you believe it? As in years past, Dtoiders from around the world are converging on the mecca of geekdom in Boston for three days of gaming, booze and partying. And all because videogames!
Rock Band Night / Scott Pilgrim vs The World party!
Harmonix is kicking things off big with their little party at The Brattle. Starting at 6PM, you can go watch Scott Pilgrim vs The World, and then at 9PM join the Harmonix crew for some Rock Band action. A combo ticket for both events will cost you $15 to enter; Rock Band Night alone is $7.
For those wanting to do something a little closer to the convention center can come join up with the Destructoid crew at MJ O'Connors Irish Pub starting at 8PM. The pub is located in the Westin Waterfront Hotel, right next the Boston Convention Center.
Today's the day we meet up for the regular group photo! We'll be meeting up at 425 Summer St, on the steps just outside of MJ O'Connors Bar at 3:30PM! Be sure to wear a Destructoid shirt this day!
We've teamed up with Namco Bandai's Shifty Look for the Namco Bandai Games Presents ShiftyLook X Destructoid Chicken and Waffles party! The party will be held in the Westin's Commonwealth Ballroom on Friday, April 6 from 7PM to 9:30PM.
This party is open to all ages, so that means no alcohol. What you will get is fine Southern food, a chance to play Rocket Fox on the iPad, and swag. There's a Facebook event page you can take a look at, but note that RSVPing on the page won't guarantee you access.
Jonathan Holmes, Max Scoville, Tony Ponce myself and a slew of other Destructoid personalities will be at the party, plus some folks from Namco Bandai as well! (Bonus: Dress up super-fancy for extra entertainment!)
Other than that, there's a World of Tanks party from 9PM to 2AM. Go check out the official Facebook page to see more details on where the party is at, and to find out how you can get in.
Elephant and Castle karaoke night of doom! A bunch of Dtoiders went here last year and the stories I heard were LEGENDARY. So we're making this the official place to be, starting at 9PM!
In this extra bovine episode of Communitoid, we're joined by Dtoid indie game developer extraordinaire AgentMOO! Your usual gang of moovers and shakers udders a few words about the game development scene, chews its cud regard...more
Now that PAX East 2013 is well behind you and you've all finally sobered up, I thought it would be about time to share this year's group shot! Rumor has it that it was so cold during this year's photo shoot that Hamza literal...more
In this super sausagey episode of Communitoid, Dtoider ArcticFox joins our temporarily female-free cast of characters as we discuss videogames, erotic fan fiction, 80s nostalgia, and which cast member we'd like to marry/bang/...more
