Commodore 64, the earnest accapela

Warning: stomaching this live perfromance from the Swedish acapella group Visa Röster performing an interpretation of the C64 game music International Karate will level up your inner nerdiness by 1000 points. Proceed with caution, and make sure no women whom you ever aspire to sleep with are anywhere near you. Or men, if that's your thing. All jokes aside, I can't quite put my finger on why this one was particularly painful to watch despite the cool Karateka overlay. Anybody else want to fist the blonde?

Actually, I enjoyed that. I used to spend hours and hours playing that game. That was a pretty faithful rendition. And I need to be anal about some things: the characters were indeed from International Karate, not Karateka, and it's "a cappella". (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_cappella)

But seriously ... as much as I think the C64 produced some ungodly fantastic music (M.U.L.E and Last Ninja to name but two), what is with Sweden's enfatuation with the C64?
