First of all, you need to watch this teaser video.
It's nearly time for the Engineer to get a Team Fortress 2 update of his very own, and the video tells us exactly that. Nothing more, nothing less. Actually, this was Valve's doing, so you know there's a bunch of hidden goodies just asking to be discovered.
Steam forum member sentinel21 has a lovely roundup post listing plenty of juicy speculation. For example, there's a blueprint of a robot's arm in the background. Plus, there's this faux newspaper which might indicate either buildable minions or Team Fortress 2 AI bots that are, uh, actual bots.
By the time you read this, there's a chance the mystery will have been solved already. If not, join in the fun and speculate away.
