Yup. Eventually they'll attempt to milk it into an mmo, web-based RTS and transactions ahoy.
Fuck....

Command & Conquer Tiberium Alliances enters open beta
So long as you're waiting for Command & Conquer Generals 2 like the rest of us, perhaps you'd like to try Command & Conquer Tiberium Alliances? It's a browser-based MMO that is now playable in open beta. If you have an EA account (and can remember the damn password) it only takes a few seconds to get in. To be frank, it feels like another social-heavy web game, only with a C&C theme. Not that there's anything inherently wrong with that -- it'll be popular with a different audience, I'm sure -- but the lack of player autonomy in certain decisions always bugs me. I do like that Tiberium Alliances will eventually come to mobile devices with cloud saving, though. That could be neat for those who get sucked into the game. Did you know? You can now get daily or weekly email notifications when humans reply to your comments.
