From here on out, saying "Command and Conquer 4" simply won't cut it. EA Los Angeles has announced that it's now officially called -- hear that? it's a drum roll -- Command and Conquer 4 Tiberian Twilight.
Chosen from over 15,000 fans' submissions, the Tiberian Twilight choice has nothing to do with Stephanie Meyer's popular Twilight novels. (OMG, dreamy vampires!) The name is the perfect fit, says the game's lead producer Mike Glosecki.
"We were blown away by all the creative names they came up with," he explains, "but the most popular selection, Tiberian Twilight, seemed the best fit, embodying that the saga is coming to a powerful and epic conclusion."
That "power and epic conclusion" is scheduled for sometime in 2010, when Command and Conquer 4 Tiberian Twilight hits shelves for PC.
They sure are with the expansions probably be called New Moon, Eclipsed and then Breaking Dawn.
GOD DAMN IT, 4CHAN
This moviegame better be good.. O wait..
When Westwood still existed and owned the C&C Franchese they only planned on the Tiberium story arc to go three games. The names Dawn, Sun & Twighlight were already planned on being used as you can see this on the original 1995 release of Tiberium Dawn where it gave a CGI cinematic preview of "C&C2: Tiberium Sun"
When Westwood was dissolved around the time of C&C: Generals EA owned all of Westwood's franchises and basically wasn't really willing to follow Westwood's original plans for their franchises.
man, I'm inclined to not give a shit about a name change for a game franchise that hasn't piqued my interest in half a decade, so I won't.
(but that name is gay)
It alomst makes me lose faith in humanity
It makes me lose faith in humanity when I have to hear every single fucking human on the internet use this phrase at some point.
Anyway, the title makes perfect sense considering the first game was called "Command & Conquer: Tiberian Dawn".
Actually, read the comments.
