Come up with a PSN idea, get 10,000 quid photo

If you have ever wanted to Get in the Game, you will soon be able to Get in the Game because Sony is launching an initiative to help you Get in the Game and it is called Get in the Game.

This new scheme, which looks intended to bolster the PlayStation Network's profile, offers five budding developers the chance to receive £10,000 in order to create PSN content prototypes. A free workshop is being held in December where prospective devs can pitch their ideas to Sony executives and producers.

Once five developers have been selected, the lucky studios will then have the first three months of 2009 to develop their ideas and showcase the prototypes to Sony Europe. If SCEA likes what it sees, there's a chance of a full PSN production. Or Sony could just plagiarize like a real company does.

So, this is a thing that is happening.

Ok so here is my idea. You take the Dreamcast-version SanFran Rush 2049 and upload it onto PSN. You add online play and maybe trophy support. Throw in optional Sixaxis support for controlling you vehicle in the air and you're set. Next you charge money for this game. $10 to $15 sounds fair. Then...PROFIT!! 10 million downloads in the first 5 minutes guaranteed!!

I LOVE MANTISES!

Also 10.000 doesn't sound much for buying a game from an indie developer.

An original PSN game that's worth buying.

Ok, where is my damn money?

£10,000 sounds good, but considering you'd just be doing all of the work only to have it taken off your hands upon completion at the end, it's a joke. If the game sold well, chances are Sony would make three or four times that in no time.

Falinter stole my idea! :(

I must agree with Slique on this, Sony will end up making the large amount of $$ off of this deal.

Why not make some kind of a system where there will be a picture on your account to represent you? You know, some kind of avatar or something.

Then you could sell clothes at a premium rate and profit.

Oh, and then you could incorporate your avatars into online games so everyone can see them and encourage more clothes purchases.

Right..., because Sony has totally screwed over indie developers Jonathan Mak (Everyday Shooter) and Jenova Chen (FlOw/Flower) by releasing their games on PSN.
