Look, I buy games. I buy lots of them and I'm utterly incapable of resisting what appears in my mind to be "a good deal." So, I wind up with all of these games that I have purchased at cheap prices but never get around to playing them. My shelves are stuffed with broken promises and shattered dreams.
Then I got to thinking: What if I created an obligation by which I would be forced to play through these games to completion?
So, I'm happy to introduce Backlog, a new live program on Justin.tv in which I play through new and old games that are otherwise rotting in my collection for your amusement one hour a night on weeknights. Future games will be chosen by the viewers but I thought I'd start off with something that everyone says I need to have played, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. @Scissors: That site looks really cool, but it seems that registrations have been closed for months pending a site redesign of some kind. Pity, as I could really use something like that.
I thought about doing something similar especially since online play eats up alot of my game time. My solution?to stop buying games. So far I've failed because my friend gave me some MS Points for Christmas and I downloaded Earth Defense Force 2017.
Nice One, Conrad!!! I'm in the same boat, so perhaps this will be an inspiration to finally start allocating time slots on the weekend for specific games that I haven't completed yet. It's just so damned hard to pass up the new games that are coming out, to work on my backlog. I swear, I think the gaming industry has given me some form of ADD, because no matter how awesome the game is that I'm currently playing, there's some shiny new game that just came out that breaks my concentration and forces me to play it instead.
Awesome Idea. I had just finished Valkryia Chronicles 2, and decided to rid some backlog myself. An iPhone app would be awesome. Stupid cheap games, I think I have more in my backlog then I do my completed pile.

I'd highly recommend it, it helps prioritize your games and it feels good when you finally get to tick off a game as beaten or completed
Also It can be neat to look at other people's backlogs to see what they are playing
