There be planes in Combat Wings: The Great Battles of WW2
Yep. Imagine that, another World War II game! This one, however, is an aerial combat title that puts you in the cockpit of some of the most famous planes to have patrolled the skies during the Second World War. Players will have the chance to see the conflict from four different perspectives, as pilots of the American, Australian, British and Russian armed forces. If that sounds like your cup of tea, prepare to swoop down through the clouds and open fire on unsuspecting squadron of Axis bombers as you do your part to swing the war in the favor of the Allies. Combat Wings: The Great Battles of World War II will be out sometime later this quarter for Xbox 360, Wii and PC. Did you know? Legacy Comments (will be imported soon)It's disappointing you're not allowed to play as the Luftwaffe. Toward the end if the war, allies had three thousand bombers and eighteen hundred fighters over Germany, while the Luftwaffe were able to send up up only seventy our so fighters. Considering their pilots flew until death instead of teaching after several successful missions, the odds would make the Luftwaffe a more interesting role to play. its a shame because i know it wont be as good as sturmovik for the pc, which is a massive disappointment. Actually, Birds of Steel (made by the guys that did IL 2: Sturmovic) is a WWII flight sim coming out next month for consoles; IGN is calling it "...the Forza of flying." The only true detailed trailer is found in February's edition of Qore on the PSN. 6:30 PM on 05.14.2013 The WWII dogfights of War Thunder are headed to PS4Gaijin Entertainment is bringing its free-to-play massively-multiplayer online game War Thunder to PlayStation 4 this holiday season. 10:00 AM on 05.02.2012 Kickstart this project unless you hate space combat gamesYep, another Kickstarter. 6:00 PM on 04.06.2012 Microsoft Flight appears on Steam with a DLC bundleI wouldn't have necessarily expected a game like Microsoft Flight to show up on Steam, but such an arrival does put the free-to-play flight sim in front of a bunch of new gamers, so you can't really argue with those results. ...
2:00 PM on 04.02.2012 Review: Birds of SteelCombat flight simulators, like real-time strategy games, are a resilient breed which has always struggled to find its place on consoles. A mouse and keyboard control scheme is almost always preferred over a gamepad when it co...
