Codemasters kills GRID online for PS3 and PC photo

Codemaster will end online play for GRID for PS3 and PC. It's always a sad day when online ends for a good game. For some reason the Xbox 360 online play will live on. For now.

"After three years of service, 2008's Race Driver: GRID's online play service has been discontinued for the PS3 and PC editions of the game," Codemasters says in their forums.

"This follows the decision by a third party provider to decline the offer of an extended contract to continue online play on these platforms. Race Driver: GRID for Xbox 360 is not affected. We thank fans for their support and apologize to those affected by the end of this service."

Naturally, some dudes on the Codemasters forums are pissed off.

"F-Zero meets Audiosurf" brings some vivid imagery to mind, but after watching the above trailer, I'm not sure I agree with that tagline for the indie racer Spectra. Sure, it's set to some bumpin' Chipzel tracks, but it look...more

Upcoming Driveclub car will peel your face off

To tease one of the upcoming cars arriving for Driveclub this month, the developers decided to give us a sneak peak via a video showing off the terrifying speed the unnamed four-wheeled machine can do -- at least 242 mph. You got what it takes to hit that kind of speed and not end up a stain on the road? We'll have to see in the coming weeks.  more
