CNET blasts EA and Take-Two for using the press

CNET blasts EA and Take-Two for using the press photo
     Takeover time!

There's a joke in this and I am going to mercilessly ram it into the ground for no reason other than to be an ass. So brace yourselves ...

CNET, a company that has absolutely no experience in being used by videogames companies, has blasted EA and Take-Two for negotiating their notorious hostile takeover struggles through the gaming press.

"I know it's nothing new in the fast-paced world of hostile takeovers, tender offers, and other forms of mergers and acquisitions," states an insulted Daniel Terdiman, "but it's beyond obvious that both Take-Two and EA are using the press -- and our outreach to the public -- to try to negotiate the best terms in whatever marriage the two eventually end up in."

For the record, doing a Google "site:www.news.com +"take-two" +EA +takeover" search throws up 296 hits. Just thought I'd point that out (for extra assness).

"Basically, I just want to tell EA and Take-Two and every other set of companies that decides the best way to achieve their selfish takeover goals is to use the press that, well, I don't want to be used," is Terdiman's courageous response. Now if only Jeff Gerstmann could have said the same thing. Oh wait, he couldn't, because he got fired from GameSpot actually!

KANE & LYNCH KANE & LYNCH  KANE & LYNCH  KANE & LYNCH KANE & LYNCH KANE & LYNCH  KANE & LYNCH  KANE & LYNCH  KANE & LYNCH KANE & LYNCH  KANE & LYNCH  KANE & LYNCH  KANE & LYNCH KANE & LYNCH  KANE & LYNCH  KANE & LYNCH  KANE & LYNCH KANE & LYNCH  KANE & LYNCH  KANE & LYNCH  KANE & LYNCH KANE & LYNCH  KANE & LYNCH  KANE & LYNCH!

And I'm done.

Insulted that Take2 or EA in their business negotiations haven't found some way to slip him some money to fire another Cnet employee.

Now now, one person's opinion is just that, doesn't mean he shares the opinion of his employers (though he is not likely to speak out against their opinions).

Anyway, T2 I hope never sells themself to EA. What EA and other companies do, IMHO, is exactly what's wrong with our capitalistic market today. Not like T2 even needs the help. Why try to fix what isn't broken?

CNET should never be allowed to have an opinion on anything ever again. LICENSE REVOKED.

I don't know anything about this guy's motives, but, um, why wouldn't CNET report on big news in the gaming world? This is a textbook hostile takeover situation, and it's interesting to see it play out. I personally don't see Take Two being able to hold out for long; they were trading at $16 a share back two weeks ago, when most investors already knew GTA IV was coming out soon. It's not like GTA IV is going to come out, and make hundreds of millions, and Wall Street will be shocked by this underdog game that came out of nowhere.

Oooo Jim. This cat has claws! You're like Destructoid's own Graham Norton. Only not an irritatingly camp fuckwit.
But seriously, what the fuck? I've heard that sometimes, "special" people get given dictaphones so they can replay their retarded rambling back before they unleash them on the hearing public. Someone should tell him that Talkboys are dirt cheap on eBay. Other auction sites are available.

Well I guess CNET should just close up shop then, if covering what is going on is such a big problem for them.

Does this fucking jackass not realize that the people who read the news about EA and Take2 are - get ready for this shocker - THE SHARE HOLDERS THAT WILL BE AFFECTED BY THIS DEAL!? Why golly gee, that makes it relevant interesting news to people who to stay on top of their shares.

What a fucking moron.
