Club Nintendo's Kirby patches aren't quite right photo

Not long ago, Nintendo started offering cutesy Kirby patches as Club Nintendo rewards. "Amazing," many of us joyfully proclaimed. But little did we know that something wasn't quite right. Take a look at the variation in the eyes above.

Reader mephistowaltz received a Kirby patch from Club Nintendo with what we're going to call "stoned eyes." Thinking it was a fluke, a replacement was ordered, and guess what? The second patch had the very same off-putting eyes. This takes the whole Kirby box art weirdness to an all new high.

Has anyone else run into similar problems? Maybe there's a bad batch of 'em. I have the exact patch in question from PAX and its eyes are normal.

We try Metal Gear Solid cardboard box candy at TGS

Yes, they really have Metal Gear Solid The Phantom Pain cardboard box candy at Tokyo Game Show 2014. We were stupid enough to spend 640 yen (about $6) on eight pieces of what looks to be tiny squares of chocolate crisped rice...more
