I prefer Mario Tennis on the GBC. I loved the mode where you could go through a tennis academy and had RPGlite elements. Was pretty cool.
Mario Tennis was way better on GBC and GCN. The GCN one, in particular, is outstanding.
Still, this month is pretty bad as far as deals go. Neither game is truly worth it. I like that they keep giving some games out, though. At least they don't shy away from Mario titles.

You don't have to steal the games. Just the registration cards. Got a friend / cousin / nephew who isn't aware of Club Nintendo? Take the cards from their games.

This points out something that's bugging me about the coin prices for these games. 150 coins for Mario Tennis is fair, but 100 coins for Elektroplankton is a rip.
Elektroplankton cost $2 so in that instance every $1 is 500 coins
Mario Tennis cost $10 so in that instance every $1 is 15 coins
You get 50 coins for a $50 game so in the case of Elektroplankton you're getting a free $2 game after you spent $100, but in the case of Mario Tennis you're getting a free $10 game after you spent $150.
Electroplankton should be 30 coins, 100 coins is a major rip. If you want the game buy it for $2 and spend your 100 coins on something better.

While you're right in saying that they are technically free, you have no other way of earning them then buying full priced Nintendo games (for the most part). So, if I don't want to spend my coins on a game I deem unworthy, why should I? I can complain that they aren't giving out something I'd like because I had to spend money to even get the reward benefit.

bah lame. looks like none for me this month. i own every version of mario tennis there is (original format though, not if its VC on the wii).
And another month of games I won't be spending my pile of coins on...
Anyone know when we're going to be able to put in for our Platinum rewards this year? Last year it started sometime in June with a July cut off date, but I haven't gotten as much as an E-Mail over it yet this year.

Nevermind on the platinum status thing, went to the site on the off chance I could get an email response from them about it and it says that an announcement is "coming soon".
You're really complaining about getting games for your otherwise(pretty much) useless coins? No other region gets this, I would love to get Mario Tennis for my points.

July... I'm getting worried about how and when Nintendo is going to implement the VC/WiiWare game transfer. I get the impression that it's not only not going to be ready for WiiU launch, but that it might take another year or more to get rolling. And then the implementation could mean that it could take up a lot of room on the WiiU's flash memory. Not only for the game files, but for the very method to play them on the WiiU, as neither Wii nor WiiU were designed for cross transfer of digital games between them, and from the reports this sounds like a last minute idea. I'm going to be stuck with a Wii console that I don't play for who knows how long, instead of being able to trade it to Gamestop in for a possible discount on what could be a $300 system.
