Club Nintendo has revealed its rewards for its "Elite" members, and it's, um… wow. It's awesome.
The "Super Mario Characters Figurine" is a 3.9 inch in height, 4.6 inch in diameter display featuring your favorite Nintendo characters -- Mario, Luigi, Peach, Yoshi, Toad, a Goomba, and Bowser watching over them all. It comes in fancy decorative packaging, if you can stand the keep the sucker in a box.
In order to be eligible for "Elite" status, members will have had to have earned over 600 coins. Me, I've earned 410, but I also have half a dozen games I needed to register and surveys I needed to take. Damn my laziness.
But for those of you who hit the mark, enjoy your new awesomeness. Keep in mind, though, you might be waiting awhile -- Nintendo is saying you should received the reward by December 2010. Check your calendar. That's a long time from now, so hang tight.
[Thanks Matt and Allen!]
My wife is stoked for this thing though.
Maybe it'll arrive when the TF2 Heavy statue does as well, I think they said those would ship late 2010 as well. Now I just need to find some place to put these. Not sure what my apparent's policy is on mounting new shelves.
I like how this year, Platinum members can choose between the figure & calendar.
Well, at least it's an awesome calendar.
Oh Nintendo, you recycling scamps.
...I still want it.
I was under the impression that hat was a limited edition Club Nintendo exclusive.
I personally think it is indeed rad. A Game & Watch would be cool, but I think I like this better. I hope it's not as cheaply made as it looks, but it's still collectible. Guys getting the calander: I like my 2010 calander alot more than I though I would. It'll be nice.
Anyway, I finally put in my order after about an hour. Free stuff=slow site.
Also, why the hell can't I have a calander AND a figurine??? You know how much money was spent in becoming a Platinum member? C'mon.
Also, the Goomba coming outta the pipe is sweet! =)
I think I'll just not register anything and manage to hit Elite status in a couple years by doing it all at once.
Or, really, when 3DS comes out, I'll probably hit it in 3 months...
Also, what is this about points expiring? Is that only for the European club nintendo? Because I've never had coins expire on me.
