Your June Club Nintendo offerings are up and ready to go, and they look pretty darn good (provided that you're a Nintendo fan of course). This month you can buy Donkey Kong (3DS VC) for 100 coins, Kirby Super Star (Wii VC) for 150 coins, Maboshi's Arcade (WiiWare) for 150 coins, and Brain Age Express: Sudoku (3DS) for 150 coins.
As for the quality of the above titles, I've beaten Kirby Super Star at least 50 times -- other than Dream Course, it's probably my favorite Kirby game. If you haven't picked it up yet, now is your chance! It not only features a ton of different modes (pretty much all of which are fun), but full two player coop support.
Younger gamers may also not have experienced Donkey Kong for the original Game Boy. This isn't the same Donkey Kong you've seen in those arcade documentaries -- this is a follow-up that features a full story mode, as well as a ton of different level concepts that make it more of a full release than an arcade game. While it never rose to fame like it's big brother, I'd still put it in the "must play" category. Maboshi's Arcade is an odd looking three player party-fest. As for Sudoku, well, it's Sudoku with a "twist".
June Games [Club Nintendo]
Recently, Club Nintendo offered up Super Metroid for 150 coins -- a modest offering, right? There's only one problem: the game was set to go on sale for $0.30 on May 15th. As a result, Nintendo is offering up a 150 Coin refun... Another month is upon us, and thus, so is another set of Club Nintendo rewards. The big get for May is Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars on Wii for 200 coins; other than that, the pickings are slim.
Maboshi's Arcade&... I downloaded Tank! Tank! Tank! yesterday for free on the Wii U eShop, and I have to say, despite the fact that it may not be worth a full retail asking price, it's a great time-wasting free download. But it seems as if that's... Much like the Club Nintendo WiiWare Little Mac vs. Doc Louis!!, Japan is getting an exclusive for their Gold/Platinum reward -- a dungeon crawler named Nintendoji for DsiWare/3DS eShop.
It features a card based battle system,... Right now, the US Club Nintendo is offering up four digital rewards for 150 coins each. Kid Icarus (3DS eShop), Starship Defense (3DS eShop), Super Punch Out!! (Wii Virtual Console), and Mario Tennis (Wii Virtual Console) are... Club Nintendo is celebrating the release of Dark Moon with a sale that will run for the next three days, appropriately titled "Luigi's 72 Hour Sale."
