Club Nintendo continues to taunt us, waving new prizes in our face photo

Once again, the Japan-only Club Nintendo has updated the prizes that they're offering. For those of you unfamiliar with the program, with every Nintendo product you buy in Japan, there comes a slip of paper with a serial code that you can enter on the Club Nintendo website and garner points towards winning one of these prizes.

The top prize, Game and Watch Collection #2, includes the Game and Watch titles of Parachute and Octopus, along with a new title, Parachute x Octopus. Similarly, the Touch Generations soundtrack offers tunes from Animal Crossing, Wii Fit, and Wii Sports, amongst others. OSV has the full tracklist.

So, onto the prizes:

  • Game and Watch Collection #2 - 500 points
  • Touch Generations Soundtrack - 400 points
  • Mario Party playing cards - 300 points
  • Mario and Luigi Mini-pouch - 300 points
  • DS Lite pouch - 250 points
  • Original Mario Badges - 250 points
Down below in the gallery, you can see the items I'm talking about. Is there anything here that tickles your fancy?

I hate you, Club Nintendo.

I guess I'll be waiting for another Play Asia sale, since that's where I bought the last Club Nintendo exclusive game on the cheap.

Goddammit! I hate Nintendo of America for screwing us over like this. I have over 90 games/consoles registered for our Club Nintendo and all I've gotten was a Metroid Prime 2 Demo Disc and a Zelda Feather Stylus. There excuse of it'd cost too much to have a program like this in North America is bullcrap, since almost no one registers their games!

*end rant*

Well it looks like I'll have to send some emails to my Japanese eBay friends so I can hopefully get some good deals to add to my Club Nintendo Japan collection . . . -_-'

Gosh, I haven't even registered anything for quite some time. I haven't heard of anything good I can get so there's really no point. NOA gives us crap or nothing or both. Now, I will admit that I do like my Zelda: Collector's Edition though. :3 That's about all the good I've gotten though.

G&W Collection #2 sounded lame until I saw Parchute x Octopus, which intrigues me. Neither Parachute nor Octopus is a dual screen Game & Watch game, but it'll be interesting to see what this mashup game looks like. Hopefully it's a little more than using the control pad to play Parachute while simultaneously using the buttons to play Octopus. If I wanted to do that I already have the Game & Watch Gallery carts and two Game Boys.

I love Game & Watch. We got one in at the store I work at, but it was $45 and I'm poor ;_;

The best I got was three copies of Nintendo Power (with rad Contra 4 and MP3 posters). Beyond that, though, Japan devastates us ...
