Hopefully.
Sorry for being a dick, I just spent years of my life waiting for the next truly fast paced FPS to hit consoles, and it never fucking came (sans some downloadable titles that died a few months after release, leaving you with a $20 game you can't even play anymore).
Time to pick up a little more on PC gaming if you can one red, that seems to be where your interests are... aimed at? Eh? Eh? See what I did there?
Don't get me wrong, I loved the over the top weapons, but some combos just didn't make sense to me like the steak/nade launcher or the mini gun/rocket launcher. If they switched some up or added a few I think it would go a long way. The painkiller is easily one of the baddest ass weapons in a game just for the fact that I can juggle bodies in the air.
Nope, consoles never got SS3. Much to my displeasure :(
We do have TFE and TSE, though (plus the original games on Xbox). Fucking love Sam.

Sweet! Gonna try and score me one of them bater codes.
Yeah, people think shooters got big on consoles because they were violent and instantly gratifying and all that, but shooters were always that way. They got huge when games like Halo 2 made shooters so simple that anyone could pick them up. Plodding characters and huge auto aim made it impossible for people to miss.
How do you make a shooter sell eve more than Halo? Make it so that you only have to move or aim accurately, but never at the same time, and make people drop in 3-4 body shots. It's all about making players think they're better than they are through clever game design.
Also yeah, I want to get into PC shooters bad (once I can get another gaming comp, and I don't have the cash for it). It's just that I really do love twin-stick, and I think it gets such an ass rap. There were/are people who are amazing players with twin stick, it's just real hard to be good at it.
@Jinx
Did it? If yeah, do you know if it has a fairly decent community?
You just smashed my small glimmer of hope that it came to consoles.
*balls up fists in agony*
AAAAAAAANDDDDYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
I'd be surprised if they managed the 16 person co-op (or 4 player split screen, for that matter). But here's hoping!
I watched a bit of that footage. It looks EXACTLY like the original game. Same monsters (monks with axes & knights are straight ripoffs), same guns, same settings, same exploding props, same breakables with gold coins, same HUD layout even. I even think I saw one of the same bosses. Just because they ported it to a different engine doesn't mean they didn't rip-off assets, or remake the same stuff. Not promising.
