Clive Barker's Jericho; I think I have a crush on a dead CGI woman

There are some games that you focus whole-heartedly on, counting down the days until release, and absorbing every screenshot and video via subdermal injections until you've foregone your entire humanity in favor of the electronic world of your choice.

Clive Barker's Jericho is not one of those games. It's one that you vaguely notice out of the periphery of your vision while trying to find more info on Final Fantasy Reverie: Moogle Hoedown, but what you do see of it is kinda awesome.

Take the above trailer, for instance, it sets a fantastic mood reminiscient of a combination of Gears of War and Poltergeist, but with the added bonus of that bizarrely sexy, butch girl with the hair that could probably come to life and strangle your face off. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, I do believe I love her.

So ... lonely ...

That voice in the end sent chills down my spine! Can't wait to play this! Not enough scary games out there.

Good thing she had time to don her combat eyeliner before going into that place.

But seriously, for a female character she seems pretty cool.

Why are people so excited about this? It looks like Doom meets Quake and both of those games were barely meh.

Clive Barker is an amazing writer but few times has his writings had justice when converted to another format (hellraiser 1 is the only good one that comes to mind). Hopefully this won't be another one that falls to the way side. What's Clive Barkers involvement in this? I must research this!

so kewl... The butch lady's braid thingys looked like they were tacked onto her head, but still looked good.

And yes I agree with Nex. Undying was totally ignored by most people.

I dont know, I loved Undying, So scary and the story rocked pretty hard. I always wished they would remake that game with a newer graphics engine.

this looks good but what about some actual gameplay footage? is it fps? 3rd person action/shooter? has such info been released?

while either genre could provide a frightening experience (see either condemned: criminal origins or re4), i think fps would be better. especially with the heavy emphasis on shooting in that trailer.

anyone know what the gameplay plan is?

If Clive Barker is involved, I'm in. Undying was awesome and Hellraiser 1 and 2 are some of my favorite horror movies.

What is this coming out for? Someone please say PC...

That chick reminded me of Rita Torres, from the cartoon Exo Squad.

And since when does the Swiss Guard send a recon team anywhere? Shouldn't they be busy protecting the Pope or something?

So how many trailers does this make where a character gets unexpectedly stabbed through the back and out the chest? And when can I look forward to this in Paper Mario?

@Mecha, yeah I was thinking the same thing. I have a feeling their purple/orange uniforms might take away from the seriousness of the game. Until the Pope stabs them through the back and out the chest. zomg.

5 bucks says at some time in the game you blow a trumpet.

p.s. Nex, that chick has a nasty 1990's rat tail hair cut, call me gay but I'll take Alex from HL2 over her anyday.

Dammit Rainbowblack, that chick brought sweet flashbacks of freaky Belladonna vids and you had to ruin it. Yea, trailer looks good, where's the game though?
