Right here is where I'd normally say a few things (perhaps some of them "funny") about this new clip Electronic Arts sent us to promote Brütal Legend, but it would be mostly pointless.
After the break, there's video you'll see of Jack Black (the voice of Brütal Legend's Eddie Riggs) doing some stuff and saying some thing. Then the game's producer/creator, Double Fine's Tim Schafer, comes out and says some things. Then, Jack Black throws up.
There's no game playplay footage, so if that's what you're looking for, move along. But if you want to be amused for a minute and half, and then see someone blow chunks, this video is totally for you. Check it out after the jump.
I do love Jack Black, people might say he is annoying, but personally I think he just loves making an ass out of himself and bringing a smile to our faces, which that video did, for me.
Anybody else notice Tim actively trying to look less like Jack over the past few years? When they first announced this game I thought Jack Black was going to be playing the roll of Tim Schafer.
I just watched that X-files episode he's in, the one with Giovanni Ribisi throwing lightning at motherfuckers. He was on his "dude" tip even back then. The guy hasn't evolved at all since the 90's.
God this game should be sweet, but why the fuck does it say coming to next-generation consoles at the end of the clip? It's CURRENT-GEN jackasses, it has been for 4 FREAKIN' YEARS NOW!
Well, I guess they deserve some respect: It's not everyday that you can feel this awkward about a famous actor doing something intentional and lens-aware.
Let's just hope lame physical jokes and dumb writing doesn't get into the game. Don't get me wrong, I like Jack Black, I like Tim Schaefer and I hope I'll like Brütal Legend, but this was embarassing.
