THIS! Seriously, i just can't play KZ3 MP well with the DS thumbsticks. The positioning i can get used to, but the mushroomhead design? nu-uh!

I care nothing at all about 3rd person cover-based shooters, so I'm perfectly fine with that. I'd be much more interested in Halo or Forza.
"CliffyB" does indeed need help with the DualShock, since he's said before that he can't understand what Circle, Square, Triangle, and X mean, and compared them to Kanji. That has to be a difficult situation for him.

I use the FPS extenders, maybe they would help you? They have the indention in the center. I don't like that personally, since I still use the tips of my thumbs, but you might.

Way ahead of you. I mean, I use them for resistance and KZ3, but they just feel stiff when aiming. Which makes me increase my sensitivity by a lot, throwing off my game.

I feel I already knew this. I'm happy Gears 3 will give me a chance to dust of the good ol' 360! Gears are good games but PS3-only owners aren't missing out on too much with the first two games at least. The third will hopefully change that!
I think Gears of war is a great franchise, as a Sony user I'd love to play it, but peeps gotta have their exclusives. So you know what f*ck you Cliffy B, no Infamous for you.

I personally prefer the dualshock over the xbox controller...I can play super stardust with no probs, but playing geometry wars gets very uncomfortable...and the dualshock is lighter.
Gears is one of the few console exclusive franchises left- MS has to hold on to that for all its worth.
I didn't realize DualShock was inferior to the Xbox controller. That's good to know. DS has always felt so much better to me.
I've never really understood why exclusives were such a big deal for players, but that lack of understand is probably explained by owning both consoles.
When it's the only worthwhile (debatably) non-Halo exclusive that MS has left, you can't say you're surprised.
Why not damn it? I just can't make myself buy a new litterbox. $50 is the most I will pay for the damn thing no matter how good Gears, and Forza look. I've just been burned too many times.
pffft.... Gears is the only thing worthy of mentioning on the Xbox and I have already beaten the first one. I refuse to buy a console for two games only. Just how I refuse to buy the Wii for Muramasa: The Demon Blade alone. But reading between the lines he would love to bring the Gears series to the PS3 himself, but his hands are tied with the ultimate and final decision.
Meh I'm fine with this. MS needs a quality exclusive to call their own.

buying a 360 just to play 3 gears games and maybe other two games like alan wake and halo reach.. mmm.. I don't know.. anyway.. it's a shame.. I played the first gears on pc and was really cool..

Exactly! who gives a shit anyway. A tirelessly repeated series like Gears don't appeal to me at all, even being a good games overall. The 360 will be known as "the console that survived on Halo and Gears as their signature games". There are more options or better games out there on other platforms (PS3, Wii). And given the huge disappointment those so called "awesome" 360 exclusives were, namely Bioshock and Mass Effect, I couldn't care less.

IMO I wouldn't buy a 360 just to play 3 games. They're good that I give them. I have had a XBOX 360 for 3 years now in the box. I have just booted it like twice or trice.
Fuck the PS3. How about putting that shit back on the PC where it can shine, eh? The PC version of Gears 1 looks better than the Xbox360 version of Gears 2, and controlled better to boot.

facepalm. yes, Microsoft owned IP will be released on ps3, right. what's next Turn10 confirming that Forza will be xbox-exclusive simply because there's no quality simracer on playstation platforms?
