City of Heroes film in development; Owen Wilson to play sXeNightstabber1987 photo

City of Heroes, NCSoft's superhero MMO, has been optioned by Tom DeSanto, the same Tom DeSanto whose upcoming Transformers film is poised to rape the collective childhoods of the Internet this summer. DeSanto's ultimate goal with this license, aside from painting flames on crude facsimilies of Wolverine, is to create a live-action feature, that could then be segued into a possible television program (which, in theory, could lead to lunchboxes, latex paint and fuzzy underoos).

Creating a film based on a title most notable for its robust character creation screen is certainly going to be a challenge, but if Mr. DeSanto has proven anything so far, it's that he has an innate ability to throw money at things that suspiciously resemble female genitalia. One might wonder how his talent can help in this situation, to which we answer: how can't it?

Damn I suppose you are right. I am not that mad because there are few of us left after the cool factor came and went. But hey that happens to everything.

Anyways I hope you understand that all sXe kids dont listen to bands like atreyu and have Double 00 plugs. And my hairstyle is non existent, there are no fohawks here. But it is cool to see someone from dtoid who knows what sXe is.

Make that two. I'm also one who doesn't fit the stereotype. Which is probably the only reason that I'm still considered sXe. Either way, keep up the snarky humor, Nex. Dtoid wouldn't be the same without it.

I think he assumes it's going to be as famous as HEROES... bet you the cast will comprise of newcomers on the most part. The kind that aren't THAT good and you keep asking yourself... why/how did this person get cast?

I visualize this:
